My so-called normalcy

Life is back to normal, I am finally done with visiting friends, overbearing parents and the whole drama. It’s just me and the Bombay rains. The much awaited monsoon is showing its colors and I love every minute of it. 8tracks is playing non-stop rainy day playlist on my computer and I am reading “Are you there Vodka, it’s me Chelsea” on my new kindle (yay!) and I am becoming a regular at Blue Frog (S, not one word!)

With the three of us, P, K and me being broke (I know the story is getting too old) the search for cheaper things in life has intensified :). We went to see dark knight rises at 9 on a Saturday morning! But we had the best seats for 100 bucks and we used our sodexos for lunch so all in all a very economic movie watching experience in Bombay. And coming to the movie it was awesome, the only complaint I would have is that Bane sounded so much like Reynholm Sr. in IT crowd that every time he said something we were laughing our asses off. The guy sitting next to me gave a stink eye every time we said anything funny. The obvious thing to do after that was a re-run of the first two seasons of IT, which we did religiously all through the weekend.

We went driving to Marine drive today in K’s new car to this cozy hideaway near Gateway of India, right on the seaside. A much needed break with old friends, lotsa gossip and a nice chilled beer while the cool ocean breeze is blowing. I know I have been a bit out of it the last month but I am getting back my grove, in spite of an over dose of post rock.

My office life is not so bad either these days. I finally found another person who watches series like I do! (including True Blood and Newsroom!). We have regular coffee breaks every two hours discussing the previous day’s episode and general bitching sessions. I don’t dread office anymore :). And my director might send to South Africa for my next project (which most probably won’t happen because I am never that lucky).

Will be back to writing some quality posts soon, no time with all the cooking for the two people who are eternally hungry (I know pretty lame reason but I actually have been recruited as a mobile chef, I walk into their place and the next thing I hear is "what are you making for breakfast/lunch/dinner"!)
