A day in my life

The phone alarm starts buzzing. Its already 7 (groaning inside)

i snooze the alarm and get back to sleep. My room mate is there to wake me up.

the alarm wouldnt give up ( coz unintentionally or intentionally i m not stopping it....i m snoozing it all the while)

i drag myself out of my bed

Run to the bath room switch on the geyser and think about not going to office for the nth time

but then again this is not college and this is as real as it can get

So got ready in a rush so that i wont miss my shuttle which i barely managed to catch today

We were in office and i hate the driver for driving so fast why cant he drive a little slow and get us to the office at around 10

that ll be so lovely...anyways started with the tasks for the day

Task 1 : 9 - 10 breakfast -- eat as slowly as possible and waste atleast one hour

completed successfully though i had a hard time eating what looks like a poori and behaves like a plastic thing. We do have some good caterers in chennai trying to make all those northern delicacies with a southern touch

And the juice guy how can i forget him he always has an amnesia when we order something.

All in all it was a hour well spent

Try to act all serious reading the new story on Kubrick on realitysandwich.com where the guy cant stop ranting and raving about his movies. He uses all those hifi words to describe the so called shamanistic eccentric human being( i tried to use some of those words but failed horrisbly :) ) .It made me sick. Why cant they just stop doing that. No grounding in cinema and no knowledge of what actually the guy is talking about in the movie( well someone accused me of the same thing though i did not use any of those jargons to explain the movies)

My TL tries to give me work ...but today luck seems to be on my side. Some one has already completed it. And i couldnt be more happier trying to get all the songs of song book. By my search was in vain :( couldnt find rufus wainwright's one man's guy )

Finally break time( as if i was working my ass off ) Anyways went to the pantry to find out the pastries i need are out of stock. Tried all the pranks to irritate KK which are generally successful coz he gives up so easily. New prank in town Pinky Pink in town and thats more than enough to get him on the track.

Maybe in my future posts i ll explain you this character call pinky aka posh spice. She has the best fashion sense in town. All you have to do is watch SS Music for about an hour or for that matter Jaya Max ( how do i know about all this because I am trying to understand the tamizh movie fashion) and then select an outfit from one of those song and dance sequences and explain to ur tailor with painstakingly so that you can get a perfect fit ( it does sound right out of Project Runway only heidi Klum is missing the action)

So task 2 for the day completed successfully

Lunch

Pretty boring half the team went for a feature outing ...i.e., the two sisters are out so enjoyed a wholesome southindian lunch which is in many ways gratifying ( As no way in the world can i make such good sambar or koot or poriyal) I am still learning to make all those dishes but in vain but i ll perfect them someday very soon

All afternoon

Trying to understand the FSD which for me is sounds like greek and latin but i m not complaining reading is much better than writing some 1000 test cases :)
Took some poster printouts to decorate my cubicle which was too stark for my taste and is positioned in such a way that i have to keep on checking that no one is seeing my monitor.
Had a really long discussion about the pros and cons of living in chennai and the usual debate about the b school entrance exams
The sisters are back from the team lunch and i just found out that the dumbest guy in our team is going on site. thats such a welcome surprise.

And the most wonderful thing was i volunteered for the party planning committee ( well i m not the kind of person who wants to be in a party but proactive is what they want so i was rather shoved into this godforsaken task) and have to get the gifts and arrange for lunch 2mrw i could be happier

This ends my day....so by now you might be thinking that my company is paying me for browsing and downloading stuff all day...but i m not that lucky this happens to be one of those days when i m absofuckinglutely free

p.s. i do work sometimes...and am good at it just for the record

p.p.s forgot to write about a movie this time...oscar time so i ll go with no country for old men. One hell of a movie...and i still shiver whenever i see Anton on trailers. javier bardem is simply superb..
